What are your names?

Ali and Lubaina

Which country do you come from/call home?

Mumbai, India

Are you a backpacker/long term traveller/business traveller/live and work

Not sure. We are taking time. We are not full time travellers as of now but we can be in future. We just don’t want to put a foot in every country. We want to take time and live the essence of each country.

How do you fund your travel (savings/work whilst travelling/other)?

As of now we are traveling through our Savings/ income from business and bit of freelance

What is the first trip you remember taking and how old were you?

We both have taken many trips individually before we met each other in India.

Our first trip as a couple was in Kerala, India. That’s the place which has brought us close to nature and where we decided that we will keep traveling often and then came up with this blog.

Have you been anywhere which turned out to be totally different to how you imagined? If so, how?

When we planned our trip to America, we thought we will skip Washington DC and only visit New York as the city has got a young vibe to it. But by chance we happened to visit Washington DC which to our surprise was wonderful. It has great architectural and historical value to it. Anyone visiting America shouldn’t give Washington a miss.

Have you had any bad experiences whilst travelling?

Once we were traveling from Madhya Pradesh to Mumbai on a train and we had a reservation seat but as soon as we boarded the train and saw that our seats were already occupied with few people and we really had to beg to get our own seat which we paid for.

Do you have any funny travel stories?

On our trip to Goa, India when we were excitedly waiting at the conveyor belt for our luggage, our excitement went dull when we kept waiting at the belt and our luggage didn’t turn up. Later we started to get really worried as we thought our luggage might have been displaced or even worst “lost” but then to our amusement we realised that we were on the wrong belt all together and could see our luggage on just adjacent belt. We then laughed about it as we moved on.

Which is the worst place you’ve been to and why?

Touch wood as of now we loved the places we have been to.

Where is your favourite place in the world?

London for sure. Just love this place. People, food, culture. Just everything.

Do you have a bucket list? If so what is on it?

Not prepared yet but we do wanna do Scuba diving, Hot air balloon, Sky Diving, Bungee jumping etc.

Can you imagine life without travel?

Never. Travel is something which has brought us here. Travel has bought us more close to each other and evolved us as individuals.

If you were not travelling what would you be doing instead?

Ali would be running his own business, which he is doing right now and Lubaina probably would be a homemaker.

Travel will change your life. So keep traveling. More often. Life is too short to live in a box. The world is your playground. Go Explore.

To be free. It’s something different. The joy, peace of mind that one gets through travel cannot be matched with anything. We see new places, new cultures, people, and food. Everything is so special.

Witnessing Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding celebration outside the Grand Buckingham palace in London, Everyone was in a carnival mood and royalty was in the atmosphere.

What inspired you to start this blog?

A typical Indian family consist of a wife who is a homemaker and a husband who works in a cubical to sustain their life. We didn’t want to be typical. We wanted to travel, to explore and inspire others to do the same. That’s the main motivation behind starting this blog.
